My name is Daisia Freeman and I am very excited to begin a new year with you all! I am from Warren, MI, right outside of Detroit. I attended Cousino High School in Warren, where I was first given the idea to teach high school English. I was active in several sports and clubs, including track & field, marching band, and cheer. 

 

I gradauted magna cum laude from Western Michigan University (GO BRONCOS!) with my Bachelors in English. I worked hard to maintain excellent grades and good physical and mental health.

 

I enjoy spending my free time reading at the beach or on vacations with my family. Every year, about sixty members of my extended and immediate family choose a place to visit for a weekend to catch up with one another.

 

My goals for this year are to create a healthy learning environment for all students and to allow students to make connetions to their own lives from literature materials.
